The Maritime Academy Magnet Program
The Maritime Academy at Jack Yates prepares students for careers in the vibrant maritime, engineering, logistics, and technology industry. In partnership with the Port of Houston, students get the opportunity to earn real world experience with a focus on logistics.
Students can train and be certified to drive our campus forklift or have the chance to drive a ship through the Panama Canal with the assistance of our new immersive bridge simulator.

Students with a high interest in pursuing a career in Maritime Logistics can also take part in Dual Credit college hours with our partner, Houston Community College.
