What is VIPS?
VIPS is a Houston ISD program that facilitates community involvement in schools.

How to become a VIPS volunteer:
- Register online: Individuals need to register through the online portal, which is typically accessible through the HISD website or the school's website.
- Background check: All volunteers must pass an annual criminal background check, which can take a few days to process.
- Identification: Volunteers need to provide valid identification, such as a driver's license or passport, to verify their identity during the registration and check-in process.
As a VIPS-approved volunteer, you can:
•Assist with the school store
•Help organize and support school events
•Participate in family engagement nights
•Join efforts to build school spirit and community pride
